The Field Specialist is responsible for providing care for our clients as needed during their assigned schedule. This position is responsible for starting new cases, filling in for current caregivers, training new employees, and being a mentor to our field team. The Field Specialist will be expected to go to all assigned shifts in any location within the BrightStar Care territory including the BrightStar Care office.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
· Provide client care as directed by the Office Manager or Client Care Manager.
· Must be willing to travel throughout our entire service area
· Must be available for 12-hour segments of time a minimum of 5 days per week
· Must be opening to serving any type of patient population (children, adults, seniors, variety of diagnosis)
· Must be willing to help with any length shift
· Must be able to work around pets and in all home environments (smokers, etc.).
· Must have reliable car and be opened to transporting client if needed
· Must follow dress code and rules set forth in the facilities we work in
· Must have a reliable cell phone for mobile documentation and return calls promptly (within 30 minutes) for last-minute fill-ins during stated availability.
· Serve as mentor for new caregivers in client homes.
· Perform additional training for caregivers in client homes.
· Assist with Caregiver competency assessments in the office.
· Promotes quality, continuity, and safety of a client's care by adhering to brand standards.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 1+ year(s) of Caregiving experience
· High school diploma or GED
· Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
· Licensed driver with automobile insurance
· Effective oral and written communication skills
Expectations:
1) You must be willing to work with all types of clients.
2) Weekly Hours:
a) You will work a minimum of 40 hours per week. If scheduled to work less than 40 hours, you will be paid the difference at your hourly rate. We may ask you to work in the office to make up to 40 hours as well. We may limit shifts offered to you that may put you into overtime.
3) You will be responsible to track your travel time and mileage as you normally would on ABS Mobile
4) If you call-off or call-in sick any days during your availability times, your “guaranteed hours will be reduced by 8 hours that week”. You are still subject to our Attendance Expectation and Attendance Corrective Action Policy.

Additional Information:
· You will be trained on all Priority 1 clients and must be willing to go see those clients if they are open during your available time.
· If you do not have clients scheduled to you during Office Hours that overlap with your availability, we may ask you to work in the Office for a period of time (between the hours of 7am-7pm)
· Communication with the Office is of highest importance for this role, please make sure that your phone is charged and ON during your availability times and that you return any calls or messages left on your phone during those times.
· You must maintain reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance while working in this role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
